A travelling roller pushes against the car's wheel, carrying the vehicle through fixed pre-wash, high-pressure, brush, wax and drying stations. The longer the tunnel, the more stations it can house — and the faster the conveyor can run. On the largest systems, four vehicles can be in the tunnel at once during peak periods.
If a rollover or twin/Takt setup is consistently exceeding 25,000 washes a year, a conveyor is the next step for densely populated city sites.
A water treatment and reclaim plant is almost always a planning requirement on this scale, regardless of supplier.

In continental Europe, operators routinely install a twin or Takt system first to test demand before committing to a full conveyor. The twin can later be redeployed to another site if volumes don't justify a tunnel — a useful hedge on a large investment.
